Welcome
It was a sunny, bright December day in 2008, when I first arrived
in Sao Martinho do Porto and fell for it.
Less than a year later, I am the happy owner of a small Bed & Breakfast
in Salir do Porto.
Guesthouse Salir is situated one hour north of Lisbon on the Costa de Prata
(Silvercoast) near Sao Martinho do Porto and within walking distance to its unique bay.
It is the diversity of this area I find so alluring.
There are countless places of cultural and historical interests such as
the medieval village of Obidos, the 12th-century Cistercian monastery of Alcobaca, or
the historically outstanding town of Tomar to name but a few.
For the active, there is cycling, walking, surfing, golfing and more.
Or just simply enjoy a day on the sandy beach or on our terrace which offers you plenty of sun and privacy plus a small pool.
In summer the average temperature is around 30°C with cool nights, making sleep comfortable.
The winters are mild, averaging 15°C.
Food!! Just a short walk or drive away, you can find various restaurants serving a variety of food, tasty wines
and an absolute must, the dangerously delicious Portuguese pastries and desserts.
Our property has an annexe, consisting of two double rooms and a well-equipped and comfortable kitchen, and there are two more charming double rooms in the loft.
All rooms have a private bathroom and toilet.
